Eligibility Requirements

Must be an American Citizen
-
Must be a member of either a federal or state recognized Indian
or Native American Tribe
-
Must have proof of Indian or Native American heritage (i.e.,
tribal roll card or certified letter from the tribal office)

Must meet WIA federal guidelines for low income families
-
Must live and attend school and/or work in the state of Alabama
-
Classroom Training Program participants must qualify for a Pell
Grant
-
Classroom Training Program participants working toward a
Bachelor's Degree must have completed all basic educational
pre-requisites (starting their junior year)

Must have a high school diploma or GED for Work Experience or
Job Training Programs

Youth Program participants must live on or near a reservation

Youth Program participants must have a work permit and
parent's/guardian's approval if less than 19 years of age
